Ever since Merrell purchased Chaco, the sizing on their sandals has changed and not for the better. I am a true 6.5 Medium. Of course, Chaco only makes full sizes. For years, I wore a size 6. Last year, I purchased a new pair of Chacos and had to go with a size 7, which is just too big and I kept tripping. So, this year, I went with this newer style (which is supposed to run wide) in a size 6, which I just barely fit. I'm am less than a 1/4 inch from the front and the back. Also, the webbing is too short, so I can't loosen or tighten as much as I would like. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, I will keep these (not wanting to risk going out to mail these back to Zappos) and use them as at-home sandals. Chacos were always my go-to sandals. I've been really disappointed the last few years.

I have extremely high instep & arch and wide at toe area due to medical issues. This sandal fits perfect and very comfortable.

sandals fit well and design is good. but arch support s minimal and they really feel quite flat. not adequate for much walking

Have to rate one star due to dangerous strap issue. I bought these shoes about three months ago and planned to use them for daily summer activities and light hiking. I enjoyed the strap mechanism and the footbed, but it soon became clear that the materials used in this shoe are not up to par. The straps that are used to tighten the shoe have developed loose threads, which then get caught in the tooth mechanism. The end result is that your foot can get stuck in the shoe -- something that became dangerous when I was kayaking in a rapid river. I'm stuck with $85 sandals that have the real potential to cause injury. Do not recommend this shoe.

I first bought a pair of these in a size 9 (I am typically 8.5) but ny feet are narrow and the adjustment tab wouldnt pull far enough to get the right tension around my foot. Also the heal strap was slightly too loose. I returned and bought a size 8 and the fitting was perfect. I do with I had the footbed of the size 9 though, toes are just slightly closer to the edge than I would like. If you wear half sizes or have narrow feet, just consider this. Otherwise the shoe is all the things we love about Chaco, but it obvious they have modernized the style and look and its great. They are sporty and functional, comfortable and also look good. I can wear them as streetwear or on a hike, they work for both. I will mostly likey by the slide version of the shoe because they look so good and feel great.
